Operation Freefall Celebrity Auction - 2004

LANCE BASS SUPPORTS NATIONWIDE SKYDIVE EVENT BY JOINING HUNDREDS IN A TWO-MILE HIGH STAND AGAINST SEXUAL ASSAULT (Read press release)

Hi! Welcome to the first ever Operation Freefall Celebrity Auction! What exactly is the Operation Freefall Celebrity Auction you ask? Well, let me tell you. It is your chance to win the opportunity to go skydiving, yes, I said SKYDIVING, with your favorite celebrity. We're talking about people like Lance Bass! And, not only do you get to go skydiving with your favorite celebrity, which by the way is a once in a lifetime experience, you also will be helping to raise awareness of sexual assault. How cool is that?!

Click on the name of the person you want to jump with.

Lance Bass –- jumping at Skydive Elsinore in Los Angeles, CA

Here's your chance to go skydiving with a certified cosmonaut!

Wendy Thorlakson –- jumping at Skydive Elsinore in Los Angeles, CA

You know those cool, hip jewels on the home page of Operation Freefall? Wendy is the person behind Jean Jewel!

Kellie Greene –- jumping at Skydive Elsinore in Los Angeles, CA

Who is Kellie? Well, she started this whole thing!

New Hampshire Attorney General Peter W. Heed –- jumping at Jumptown in Orange, Massachusetts

His name says it all!

Alex Diaz - jumping at Skydive Deland in Orlando, FL

From "Alex the Intern" to Producer of the Doc & Johnny Morning Show on Orlando's hottest radio station XL106.7, Alex Diaz has proven he's dedicated to doing whatever it takes to make it in radio. Now he's jumping out of planes!

Brian - jumping at Skydive Deland in Orlando, FL

Producer of the Doc & Johnny Morning Show on Orlando's hottest radio station XL106.7. So, he wrecked the RV used during "Broke Ass Spring Break!" Do ya think throwing him out of an airplane could be Johnny's payback?

I'm sure there'll be a bit of rivalry going on between Brian and Alex. I wonder who will get the highest bid? Kudo's to both for Taking a Two-Mile High Stand Against Sexual Assault!

What Happens on the Day of the Jump?
The day of the event you'll get a short training session on how to skydive by a USPA certified tandem master. The tandem master will be the person you'll be hooked to for the skydive, not the celebrity. Once you're suited up and been given the proper instructions, you and your celebrity will then head toward the airplane. As you climb to jumping altitude you'll have the chance to totally freak out with your celebrity about the fact that in a few short moments the two of you will be jumping out of a perfectly good airplane! As the door opens and the wind rips through the aircraft, you and your tandem master will scoot toward the edge of the plane. Personally, at this point, I would suggest you be polite and let the celebrity go first! After all, you want to be sure it is safe for you, right! Just kidding. But, by letting your celebrity jump first, they'll be on the ground to meet you when you land. Imagine, slowly floating down toward your favorite celebrity who is anxiously awaiting your landing so the two of you can embrace in a hug while screaming how cool it was to jump out of an airplane!

Skydiving alone is an experience that you'll never forget. But, skydiving with your favorite celebrity, that's off the hook! So hurry, the auction begins on Monday, April 5 and ends on Thursday, April 15!

Blue Skies!
